Where is VMA Psych Psychologist Clinic located?VMA Psych, your dedicated Toronto psychologist clinic, is situated at 5409 Eglinton Ave. W Suite 105, Etobicoke, ON M9C 5K6. Open Monday to Saturday, we provide a comprehensive suite of psychological assessments and mental health treatments for individuals, families, and children, aspiring to make our world a healthier and happier place, one client at a time.

How soon can I expect a response after submitting my contact form?Upon submitting your contact form, a member of our team, will reach out within 24 hours (excluding Sundays).

What is the cancellation policy, and how can I make adjustments to my appointment?For scheduling changes, a full 48 hours' notice is required. Adjustments within this time frame can be made via your Owl Portal. Changes within 48 hours are subject to a cancellation fee, ensuring fairness to therapists and clients. How can I optimize my private insurance coverage, and can VMA Psych directly bill insurance providers?Connect with our Billing Coordinator at VMA Psych to optimize your private insurance coverage. Note that the College of Psychologists is not covered by OHIP and cannot directly bill insurance providers.

What is the process for assessments, and how long do they typically take?Upon booking, you'll receive intake, consent, and insurance forms. Psychoeducational assessments take approximately 4 hours, split into two sessions, while other assessments average 2 hours. Licensed psychologists, psychological associates, and trained psychometrists ensure a cohesive and comprehensive diagnosis.

How soon can I expect results after completing an assessment?After completing the testing portion of the assessment, expect a completed psychological report and feedback within two to three weeks. We understand that you shouldn't have to put your kid's needs on hold. At VMA Psych we pride ourselves on providing leading psychological services in a timely fashion.

Does VMA Psych offer school meetings to discuss assessment reports?Recognizing the importance of clear communication, we offer psychologist-led meetings with your child’s school, providing insights, recommendations, and accommodations guidance. We are also available for IEP meetings.

In what languages are services offered at VMA Psych?VMA Psych is proud to offer services in English, Spanish, Punjabi, and Hindi, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity for all.

Do you offer virtual appointments, and are they secure?Yes, we offer virtual appointments through our secure portal hosted by Owl Practice. Owl Practice provides mental health professionals with a secure ecosystem to host sessions and connect with patients. All sessions and communications are confidential, adhering to the regulation and supervision standards of the College of Psychologists of Ontario.

What types of insurance do you accept?Yes, we accept all private insurance that covers mental health services, including providers like Manulife, Sunlife, Canada Life, and more. To ensure coverage, it's helpful to contact your insurance provider and inquire about the psychological services they cover, the hourly maximum they will pay, and who is covered in your family. Please note that we do not do direct billing or work with OHIP.

How is patient confidentiality maintained?Patient confidentiality is a top priority in our clinic, regulated and supervised by the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Physical files are securely locked under two separate locks, digital files are encrypted, and all necessary communications between clinicians and admin regarding any report, assessment, or session are secured by encrypted messaging and email standards. Before beginning work at our clinic, all clients are asked to sign a confidentiality agreement.
